Welcome to our "How to Use a Sewing Machine" Course!

 

If you've always wanted to master the art of sewing with a machine, this course is perfect for you. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to refresh your skills, we will guide you through the essential steps to get you comfortable and confident with using a sewing machine. 

 

During this one day course, you will learn:

 

1. Machine Basics

- Familiarise yourself with the different parts of a sewing machine.

- Understand the functions of different machine feet and the appropriate foot for each sewing task.

- Learn how to properly thread the machine, wind a bobbin, and change needles.

 

2. Stitching Techniques

- Practice sewing straight lines, curves, and corners.

- Experiment with different stitch lengths and widths.

 

3. Seam Finishes

- Explore various seam finishes such as zigzag, overlock and French seams.

- Understand when and how to use each seam finish for professional-looking results.

 

4. Sewing Projects

- You will learn how to make a pencil case/ toiletry bag with a zip opening.

- Receive guidance and tips on troubleshooting common sewing machine issues.

 

By the end of this course, you will have the knowledge and hands-on experience to confidently operate a sewing machine and tackle a variety of sewing projects.
